Safe Foundations QLD offers one-on-one and small-group mentoring to support young people to set goals, strengthen relationships and make positive choices—delivered in the community, online or alongside family support.
How it works
What’s included in our Youth Mentoring program
Mentoring is tailored to the young person’s goals and circumstances. We work at a pace that feels safe and achievable, and we can coordinate with families and referrers where appropriate.

We help young people identify what matters to them and break goals into clear, realistic steps.

Support with routines, school engagement, communication, emotional regulation and problem-solving.

Who is Youth Mentoring for?
Young people who would benefit from extra support with confidence, relationships, school engagement, routines or decision-making. We tailor mentoring to age, goals and circumstances.
Do you offer one-on-one and group mentoring?
Yes. We offer one-on-one mentoring and small-group sessions where appropriate, with a focus on safety, respect and positive participation.
Where do sessions happen?
Sessions can be delivered in the community, online, or alongside in-home family support depending on needs, safety and location.
How long does mentoring run for?
Duration depends on goals and referral requirements. We’ll agree on a plan and review progress regularly.
Can families and referrers be involved?
With consent, we can coordinate with caregivers and referring agencies to support shared goals and clear communication.
